PLEXR plasma laser

For those looking for non-invasive options for addressing wrinkles, sagging, and dark spots, the Plexr Plasma laser treatment may be the right choice. The Plexr device produces a plasma arc that stimulates contraction and tightening over two to four weeks. Depending on the area to be treated, the procedure can take anywhere between 20 and 60 minutes. Plexr plasma is an effective treatment to address excess skin on the lower or upper eyelids, photodamaged skin, or fine lines.

Plexr plasma laser, also known as Plexr plasma soft surgery, is a non-invasive treatment to treat baggy lower eyelids, excessive upper eyelid skin, sagging of skin in the face or neck, skin imperfections, and acne. As a non-surgical alternative to blepharoplasty (a surgery performed for eyelid correction), face and neck lift, Plexr uses a plasma arc to achieve instant contraction and skin tightening. The procedure does not involve a scalpel or the use of a laser.

It is an innovative rejuvenating treatment that utilizes plasma, which is the fourth state of matter.

Plexr plasma laser procedure

At our practice, the focus is on a thorough initial evaluation where our practitioner determines your candidacy for Plexr Plasma Laser treatment.

Following the consultation where your medical and medication history is reviewed apart from the evaluation of your skin condition, an appointment is given for the actual treatment. During the procedure, the practitioner applies a numbing cream to minimize discomfort.

The Plexr device is then used to create dots and sublimate the superficial skin cells. Sublimation is a process where solid matter directly turns into gas. In this process, there is no bleeding, and the surrounding tissue is not damaged.

The entire treatment time that includes the application of topical numbing cream can be between 20 minutes to one hour depending on the extent of treatment required. The doctor will prescribe the number of treatment sessions based on the areas to be treated.  Typically, between one to three treatment sessions may be needed at six to eight-week intervals for each area.

Post-treatment care

After the Plexr Plasma laser treatment, some redness and swelling on the area treated is common. A carbon crust forms on the area treated with Plexr. Your cosmetic dermatologist and aesthetician will advise you on the care you need to take following the procedure. This includes not touching the carbon crust for seven days and ensuring the treated area is dry, clean, and protected against direct heat and sun exposure for a minimum period of one month.

You will also receive prescriptions for creams that have to be applied to accelerate the healing process.

While every care is taken at our practice to prevent any unwanted side effects, following the after-care instructions given by our doctors is a must to achieve optimum results.
